WebOS2006 Steering Committee Meeting: 12 October 2006

Today is the closing day of the registration for participation on-line Web Open Source (WebOS2006) Programming Marathon. Steering Committee discussed the contest rules, prizes, the program of the ceremony.

WebOS2006 open source programming marathon will start 14 October in the morning.  The web application development task will be placed on the WebOS20 Framework right before the marathon starts. 

There will be different prize categories:

Open Source Champion (1st Prize) receives 300,000AMD

2nd Prize is 200,000AMD

3rd Prize is 150,000AMD

There will be prizes for Best Design (150,000AMD), Original Solution (150,000AMD), Best Technical Solution (150,000AMD), The Youngest Professional (100,000AMD). The later could be changed by the decision of the Steering Committee and the jury.

The Prize giving ceremony will be organized on the 20th October in the House of Journalists.
